Pug Rescue San Diego Needs Help!

It has been a rough summer for Pug Rescue of San Diego County.  They have taken in so many special needs and elderly pugs that they are now in dire financial need of help.
I am reaching out to my contacts to ask for help for this wonderful organization - they are at a critical point right now and may have to turn away needy pugs.

One very special pug that needs help is Ching.

Ching needs your help!

Little Ching, has been severely abused and neglected and doused with household insecticide. She was spayed, had a dental and many rotten teeth removed, a tumor removed from above the base of her tail, had her nostrils opened up and her soft palate trimmed. The vet remarked that her's was the longest palate she had ever done.

A lot of surgery for a little pug, but she is recovering well and already breathing much better! Yeah for Ching!!!  You can read more about Ching in the statement from Pug Rescue below.

However her surgeries totaled over $1200, even after our generous discounts and this is putting us in a real bind financially, we have had a lot of seniors and dogs with extensive veterinary needs come in lately and soon we may have to turn dogs away or defer needed treatments.

Another very sweet special pug that came in at the same time is Monsonna aka Oceana.  You can read more about Oceana below.

This sweet girl is currently being fostered.  She is undergoing expensive mange treatments and is under a vet's care.   She and Ching are two of 4 pugs that came to the rescue in late July.
Here is the direct statement from Pug Rescue:

Recently we took in 4 pugs, all seniors, out of a very abusive home. They were being beaten, kicked, poisened and deprived of a proper well being.

With that they had severe skin, eye, and spinal issues. Ching had lost use of her rear legs after being sprayed down with a bottle of insecticide.

These 4 have been placed in long term foster care with our Rescue. While they are available for adoption, their chances of being adopted are very slim and most likely will stay in foster care.

Medical costs are piling up and have totalled over $2500, with on going care to be needed. They are thriving in foster care and Ching is even using her rear legs and walking! Care will be provided to them but we are needing your help! PRSDC had over $5,000 in vet bills alone this month. Please donate anything you can to help us. It has been an extremely busy year with relinquishments and our funds are truly being put to the test!

If you can afford to make a donation, please do so by clicking the donate button on the website.

Pug Rescue is also in need of fosters - if you are able to foster a pug please contact Suzi at  (619) 318-1926.

In an effort to help Pug Rescue of San Diego raise funds I created a Zazzle shop!
